Peru Finca San Pedro
Every quarter, My Coffee Cup presents a new organic coffee that reflects the special taste of the season and also pays tribute to the special quality and production methods of coffee farmers in the country.
The new Special Edition comes from coffee producer Abelino Cordova in Cajamarca, Peru. He and his family are responsible for the entire production process of the new Special Edition on their small farm called Finca San Pedro. Your finca is located at a dizzying 1,650 meters above sea level. At this altitude, coffee cherries ripen evenly due to the cool nights and warm days.
Only red cherries that have reached the highest degree of ripeness are harvested. To guarantee this, Abelino Cordova and his family pick all the coffee cherries by hand.
Yellow Honey method: A processing method in a class of its own
Finca San Pedro processes its coffee using the Yellow Honey method. The coffee seeds are removed directly from the fruit after harvesting, leaving it undamaged. Then the coffee cherries are dried on raised beds for 16-20 hours.

Abelino Cordova
Abelino Cordova is a small coffee producer who, after years of hard work on his coffee farm, has finally managed to support himself and his young family from his coffee production. Abelino, his wife and son live exclusively from the coffee products of Finca San Pedro.
Abelino has already grown up with coffee cultivation and learned coffee production from his father. Then, when he inherited a small piece of land at a young age, he started his own small coffee farm. For many years, he initially sold his coffee to local middlemen because both he and the other neighboring coffee farmers were unaware of the quality of their coffee and the opportunity to enter the specialty coffee market. Thanks to the San Ignacio cooperative, all their dreams around the coffee business have been realized: Abelino Cordova and his family now receive a much better price for their specialty coffee. In addition, this is sold to prestigious cooperatives worldwide.
The family’s short-term goals include continuous improvement in coffee quality and solid growth. In the long term, they would like to be represented in both the national and international coffee trade as renowned producers of high-quality coffee.

Iced Coffee Recipe
Ingredients
200 ml glass
6-8 ice cubes
half a glass of milk or oat milk
1 organic coffee capsule SUMMER EDITION Abelino Cordova
Step 1
Fill the glass with ice until it is about 3/4 full.
Step 2
Place the glass filled with ice cubes under your capsule machine to brew the espresso.
Pour the freshly brewed espresso (40 ml) into the glass. First watch how this one runs over the ice and tune in with the wonderful aromas of the Abelino Cordova.
Step 3
Now slowly pour the (oat) milk over the iced espresso. In this way, the drink acquires a wonderful cloudiness. Stir and enjoy!
