Product description

Assam, Darjeeling and Ceylon: the combination of black teas from these growing regions – refined with a hint of bergamot oil – is among the most popular: Earl Grey. Malty Assam and noble Darjeeling both come from India. One comes from large, fertile, hot and humid tea gardens near the Brahmaputra River. The second comes from higher-altitude gardens on the southern slopes of the Himalayas, where it is mountainous, cool and foggy. The British brought them to taste in the 19th century when they established large tea plantations to reduce their dependence on China.
