Product description

China is the home of our "Green Queen Sencha". Buddhist monks were the first to cultivate tea millennia ago – and passed on their knowledge to subsequent generations. Therefore, it's not surprising: China boasts the greatest variety of tea in the world. However, the Chinese import very little, as they drink most of their tea themselves. Mountainous – that's characteristic of the Chinese tea regions. On plantations of smaller farms, the tea plants that are processed into our exquisite green tea now grow there. The harvest is from April to June. During this time, the tea plants are exposed to the intense sun. This gives the tea its characteristic flavor. Almost exclusively, the tea leaves are still hand-picked.
